Cypress is a family home in Vancouver’s Shaughnessy neighbourhood. The house sits among tree-lined streets and stately properties that give the area its old-world feel. Built with presence and character, it reflects the charm that has long defined this part of the city.
At Cypress, our role was to create a home that feels classic but still works for modern family life. The layout was refined to make the home flow more easily, while traditional detailing kept its character intact. A few transitional touches were introduced to add comfort and flexibility. Because the clients were experienced builders with a clear vision, the process was highly collaborative, leading to a design that is both practical and personal.
