Lakeshore II is a new build on Okanagan Lake, replacing an older family cabin that had reached the end of its life. The design carries forward details from the original, keeping its history alive while shaping a retreat for the future.
The original cabin guided many of the design decisions, from layout to palette, so the spirit of the place wouldn’t be lost. We treated the project as both a continuation and a reset: carrying forward familiar details while shaping spaces that feel fresh, self-contained, and ready for the future. At the same time, the house was planned as a complete retreat, with intimate living areas and finishes chosen for comfort. Lakeshore II moves beyond its role as overflow, becoming a space in its own right.
