Built with a strong timber frame, Lanark is a house that carries its own presence. Set against views of the Tantalus Range, it holds the drama of its site in both structure and scale.
Lanark called for a renovation that matched the drama of its setting. The existing post-and-beam structure gave the home strength and character, but the layout was dated and closed off. We reworked the floor plan to create openness and flow, pushing and carving walls to capture mountain views. The primary suite was redesigned as a private retreat, and materials were chosen to highlight the timber while keeping the interiors warm and livable.
